Class Descriptions

Tiny Tots
For ages: 3 1/2 to 4
Gymnastics for the LITTLE ONES!! There's more than just gymnastics going on, in Tiny Tots!! While these youngsters work on body shapes, body awareness, body inversions, hand-standing, cartwheeling, and gross motor skills...they are also learning how to share, cooperate, listen, focus, and carry out instructions. Tiny Tot Gymnastics is also a class on HOW TO BE IN A CLASS!! We keep things moving and learn through some play, but also provide "order and gentle discipline."

Kinder Kids
For Ages: 4 to 5
In all levels of Gymnastics, multiple repetitions is key....Kinder Kids is the next step up from Tiny Tots, with much of the same curriculum being repeated. However, we do expect increased proficiency as time goes on. At this point, we hope to add in "running" skills (running cartwheels), while strengthening inverted skills (back-bends, back-bend-kick-over), and also explore the other gymnastics events. Always a fun time, but a little less "learning through play."

Mini Gym
For ages: 5 to 6
Still perfecting basic All-Around Gymnastics Skills on all four Olympic Events....Mini Gym kids will begin to explore some work on higher beams, maybe go swing on the actual "BIG GIRL" Bars, run and punch off a spring-board, all the while still working on running cartwheels and round-offs, kick-overs, back-walkovers, etc. The introduction of back-handsprings over a boulder/octagon is also part of the fun.

Mini Tumble
For ages: 5 to 6
This class focuses primarily on Tumbling Skills....no vault, bars, or beam. Back-handsprings are introduced at this level on soft surfaces, inclines, and over boulders/octagons.
